Holy Land 9 days itinerary

 Day 1
 Arrival to Tel Aviv airport. Meeting with Abboud Tours representative 
What we see today
Old City of Yafo (Joppa – Jaffa, an ancient port city in Israel. Jaffa is famous for its association with the biblical stories of Solomon, Jonah, and Saint Pete). Continue the drive modern city of Tel Aviv

 Overnight Tel-Aviv

Day 2
Drive north to Caesarea Maritime ;( The capital of the Romans) Visit the aqueduct and the Roman theater in the impressive seaside Herodian city which served as the headquarters of Pontius Pilate, the location of Paul’s two-yea imprisonment, and the site the Gospel was first preached to Gentiles. Continue to Haifa View from the terrace the Baha'i Gardens and Elijah's Cave
Driving to Nazareth. Visiting the Church of the Annunciation The angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, visit St. Joseph's Church, ancient village where Jesus grew up
 Travel to the northern end of the Sea of Galilee. Visit the 2,000 year old Jesus Boat and. 
Overnight: Tiberius.

Day 3
Head north this morning to Tel Dan.  Go for a nature walk to the headwaters of the Jordan River and then climb the Tel to see archeological evidence of three bible stories and the modern day border with Lebanon and Syria.  Visit the Banias, the ancient location of Caesarea Phillipi and site of Peter’s confession that Jesus was Messiah.  Enjoy an exhilarating drive through the Golan Heights to Mt. Bental, an evacuated Israeli military bunker overlooking Syria.  End day with Baptism (if time allows)

Day 4
Driving to Safed the ancient Galilean city is the highest 900 meters city in Israel, and commands a breathtaking view of the Galilee.
Safed is one of the four holy cities in Israel. It has been a spiritual center since the 1600s when it was the center of Kabbala (Jewish mysticism). Visiting Dalton Winery
Continue Katzrin in the Golan Located near Katzrin, it features a reconstructed synagogue and village from Talmudic times including a house furnished with domestic artifacts of the period.

Day 5
Start day Visit Mt. of Beatitudes where we can sit and contemplate Jesus’ “Sermon on the Mt.” visiting Tabgha the Church of the Primacy 
The site where Jesus had breakfast, after the resurrection on the beach with his disciples. Read John 21. Visit Capernaum, the city that served as Jesus’ headquarters – visit the synagogue where the Lord prayed.  
Driving South. Stop at spectacular excavation of Beit Shean where 21 layers of civilization have been uncovered
 drive along the Jordan Valley to Jerusalem
Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 6
Mt. of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of the Old city. And drive down to Gardens of Gethsemane
St. Peter in Galicuntu Church (probably home of Caiphas the high priest);
We will continue to Mt. Zion visiting King David tomb and the Room of the last supper
Walking tour of Old City including Jewish, Christian and Muslim quarters,
Church of the Holy Sepulchre and Via Delorosa
 Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 7
Travel south to the Herodian fortress of Masada,( Masada is an ancient fortification in the Southern District of Israel situated on top of an isolated rock plateau on the eastern edge of the Judaean Desert, overlooking the Dead Sea) where we will ride the cable car up to also see the last stronghold of the Jews during their rebellion against Rome.  Travel north to visit the Essen site of Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.
the Jordan Valley  the lowest spot on the earth DEAD SEA. Conditions permitting float in its unique mineral-rich waters...
Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 8
We will visit the City of David (The City of David is the birthplace of the city of Jerusalem, the place where King David established his kingdom, and where the history of the People of Israel)
 Visit Davidson center Jerusalem archaeological park. The Western Wall Tunnels 
Overnight Jerusalem.

Day 9
Load the luggage.  Visit Israel Museum (Shrine of the Book where Dead Sea Scrolls kept and 1-50 Model of Jerusalem from the 2nd temple period.) Ein Kerem . Transfer to airport for flight home.
